Cold Stream Herbal is located in West Gardiner, Maine at Long Meadow Farm, a certified organic vegetable farm. We provide our customers with quality medicinal herbs, culinary herbs, edible flowers, cut flowers, organic seedlings, dye plants, and herbal preparations (salves, oils, creams, etc.).
Introducing the Cold Stream Herbal CSA...
For the 2010 growing season, we will be starting our herbal CSA. An herbal share includes fresh medicinal/culinary herb and cut flower bouquets for 12 weeks (July 5—September 23). During the last week of each month, shares will include the herbal preparations made during that month. Members will receive a reference guide to the herbs grown at Cold Stream Herbal/L.M.F. and are always welcome to contact us with questions and feedback. Additional goodies, such as edible flower blends and herbal cookies, can be expected! We will be hosting a mid-summer herbal tea party and several herb walks at the farm to provide members with an opportunity to meet one another.
Shares may be picked up at the farm Mondays or Thursdays, or at the Summer Gardiner Farmers’ Market every Wednesday from 2-6 on the Gardiner Commons.
As this first year is the “guinea pig year,” shares are only $100. Membership is capped at 7 members, so contact us soon if you are interested in joining!
